  • Even though no one ever reads these posts, it's nice to be able to come here once in a while and vent.

    Tonight I was thrown into a counseling situation at work that I don't believe I was ready to do.  The counselor who was supposed to work with this particular client didn't show up, so I had to take her place and counsel this girl.  We made it through, and actually I'm glad I did it, but it could have turned out badly.  The assistant Director had to leave before the client came in, but she prayed with me before she left and I believe that helped tremendously.  :)  Anyway, I'm sure it was just a mix-up with the schedule or something, but it was a bit scary.

  • My brother is a Christian but sometimes he doesn't act like one.  He's always judging my daughters and acting like he's never done a bad thing in his life (and I know a lot of the horrid things he's done).  I love him and I know Jesus loves him, I just wish he would start walking in Jesus' ways more than he does... he's making a lot of our family members not like him and I feel sorry for him because he really thinks he's such a good Christian.  So sad...

  • Hello...

    So I guess not too many people are on this ReveLife thing huh? I know I keep forgetting about it and only get on here once in a while.  Anyone out there go to ResLife church?  Just curious.
    I just got done reading a part in Judges where this dude lets a bunch of guys rape his concubine until she dies, then he takes her home and cuts her up into 12 pieces and sends each piece to a different tribe in Israel.  That was really disturbing!  I'm not sure what to think about that...

  • Counseling training is interesting and draining at the same time.  I have tomorrow off though, so that's good.  I will be going to visit the newest member of our family, my niece's little baby boy named Richard Michael after my brother Richard who passed away 8 years ago.

    And now I must go pick up my daughter's dog because she is at work and can't do it.
